Software Engineer

🚀 About the Role

As a Software Engineer (Backend) at Ad-Shield, you'll design core product features and build scalable systems capable of handling global traffic.

This role goes beyond simply solving technical problems you'll take end-to-end ownership throughout the entire product implementation process.

• you'll lead technical problem-solving and system design, ensuring Ad-Shield's products and services operate reliably and scalably. You'll design architectures that reflect customer requirements and build efficient, scalable systems that enable global traffic processing.
• You'll focus on translating system designs into executable solutions, implementing features that meet customer needs while strengthening product stability and scalability. Additionally, you'll provide technical direction that drives global expansion and business growth, playing a crucial role in creating tangible, measurable value for our customers.
• From initial design through actual implementation, operations, and performance optimization, you'll be responsible for every stage and serve as a key member of our growing team.

⚡What you will do

• Design stable and scalable backend architectures for high-traffic environments and lead performance optimization efforts.
• Take full responsibility for developing and operating the entire backend system, from server logic to data pipelines, ensuring product and service stability.
• Analyze technical issues that arise during product feature development and onboarding processes, then design and execute fundamental solutions.
• Research and develop proxy and browser virtual layer technologies to bypass ad blockers.
• Efficiently handle rapidly growing global high-volume traffic while maintaining performance.
• Solve complex problems using data-driven approaches, identifying root causes and deriving solutions.

🧩 Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software Engineer experience or equivalent technical capabilities
• Experience in system architecture design and handling large-scale traffic
• Proficiency in one or more major backend stacks (Node.js, Python, Go, etc.) with flexible adaptability across languages
• Experience in TypeScript-based server development or similar frameworks
• Experience with database management and query optimization (MySQL, BigQuery, etc.)
• Ability to lead projects with rapid execution and problem-solving-focused mindset

🧊 Helpful experience (not required)

• Comfortable communicating in English
• Early-stage startup experience (Founding Member)
• Ability to connect technical decisions with product and business objectives
• Award-winning track record in algorithm or hacking/security competitions
• Deep understanding of browser mechanics
• Development experience with Cloudflare Pages/Workers or Kubernetes-based infrastructure operations
